Mary Schindler: Truly a miracle from God.
Bob Schindler: I mean that was an absolute miracle.

Berkley's reputation as one of leading centers for political subversion was cemented back in the 1960s and this just confirms that nothing there has changed. The interview that wasn't Michael Schiavo got the usual Larry King softballs when interviewed on last night's show. What follows are the observations of Wesley J. 10-28-03 Bush: U.S. not ready for total abortion ban President Bush said on Tuesday the United States is not ready for a total abortion ban, but he would sign a ban just approved by Congress on what opponents of the procedure call 'partial birth' abortion." (Real News 24/7: This position, which reiterated Bush's stand made during the 2000 campaign, however reasonable some might think, is ultimately a copout. After all, was America "ready" for a total national legalization of abortion when the Supreme Court announced it's Roe vs. Wade decision? But we got it anyway!)

(Real News 24/7: The corruption of the pageant is highlighted in this article by the revelation that its officials told Miss Harold they wanted her to stick to an anti-violence message and to avoid anti-promiscuity statements. How much did the fear of losing advertisers and corporate sponsors play a part in their decision? If such is the case, what does it say about the state of society that the perception of purity is considered a commercial liability?)

Questions Larry King should ask Michael Schiavo tonight
* You have Terri on Medicaid but you live in an expensive house with your girlfriend and have an expensive car - how is this allowed?
* Why didn't you call 911 as soon as Terri collapsed? Why didn't you do CPR?
* Why was Terri's rehab money spent on legal fees to have her starved to death?
* Why did you "remember" Terri's supposed wish "not to live that way" after the money came through but before that, swore in court you wanted to care for her all her life?
Questions raised about Terri's collapse "A world-renowned forensic pathologist with over 40 years experience as a medical examiner is challenging the official version of early events in the Terri-Schindler Schiavo case, providing the parents of the brain-disabled woman with powerful ammunition in their battle to save their daughter's life from her court-ordered starvation death."
Letter about Terri to the editor of the St. Petersburg Times "I am sure that you wrote your article on Theresa Marie Schindler Schiavo in what you believed was the truth. However, I can stay quiet no longer. It is a proven fact that Mr. Schiavo had at least one affair and fathered an illegitimate child while still married to Terri before she was injured."
Terry Schiavo's judge no Solomon "Bottom line: Michael Schiavo, the husband, wants his 39-year-old wife Terri, dead. He's battled in court for 10 years, spending more than half a million dollars on legal fees to get a judge's OK to have her feeding tube removed."
Parents' Tragic Fight Continues "Today the couple continues an odyssey through the courts in a so-far unsuccessful attempt to win custody of their severely brain-damaged and incapacitated daughter."
Terri & Others - It's About Love "Laura Shepherd stared forward from her wheelchair, her mouth open, while the machines that keep her alive clacked and whooshed behind her, as they have for the past 15 years. 'We have to be careful about what we say in front of her, because she understands,' said Linda Evans Shepherd, as she bent down to her 17-year-old daughter."

10-27-03 Controversial movie based on bestseller I find it amusing that a movie industry that eagerly launched the fictional 1988 The Last Temptation of Christ may truly despise the The Passion. And what would this imply? That it is fine to create an alternate 'fantasy' version of a man's life but not so good to tell it straight up unless it fits today's political agenda?

Terri Schiavo's parents file motion against appointed guardian "The Schindlers have filed a suggestion of bias against Dr. Jay Wolfson, a professor of health and law at Stetson University. Debate rekindled: Split family makes Schiavo case unique "Because of the Schiavo case, the Florida Legislature is considering revising the law regarding end-of-life decisions, said a spokeswoman for the Florida House. "There's a feeling the courts might have misinterpreted the original intent of the law," said Nicole de Lara."
Schiavo to take case to national television "For years, Michael Schiavo has spoken through court documents and his attorney, declining at every opportunity to tell his own story in his own words about life at the vortex of a right-to-life storm. That will change Monday when the husband of Terri Schiavo appears on CNN's Larry King Live television show."

ACLU to enter Pinellas court fight on brain-damaged woman "The American Civil Liberties Union is joining Terri's Schiavo's husband in seeking to overturn the new law which allowed the governor to intervene in the contentious right-to-die case." (Real News 24/7.com: Wow, now there's a real surprise [not].)
New life for the right-to-life movement Mrs. Schiavo's advocates trace the shift in her case to Oct. 11, just before her feeding tube was removed, when conservative activist Randall Terry contacted the Schindlers through mutual friends and asked if he could help.

10-25-03 If you want to be free—kill your TV "The propaganda prepwork for homosexual "marriage" continues this fall with a sitcom entitled It's All Relative. Legislature may try to save Terri Schiavo Florida legislative leaders decided Monday to rush through a bill to give Gov. Jeb Bush the power to intervene in the fight over a brain-damaged woman whose feeding tube was removed last week by her husband's order.
The bill goes to the State Senate on Tuesday. Please voice your support for Terri.
Governor Bush calls special session over Terri Schiavo "According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation (www.terrisfight.org), Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday. The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida."
National Organization on Disability President Appeals to Florida Governor on Behalf of Terri Schiavo Disability advocates have mobilized around Terri Schindler Schiavo, a Florida woman whose right to live has become a legal battle. Schiavo, 39, has severe disabilities as the result of a heart attack and collapse 13 years ago. Her husband contends she is brain-dead with no cognition nor chance for recovery. He says his wife would not want to be kept alive. Her parents counter that their daughter responds to stimuli, is not brain dead, could improve, and would not want to die. Their case is documented at .
Death
stalks the innocent The case of Terri Schiavo is proof positive that
the Culture of Death is gaining new ground. Unless her feeding tube is
restored, she will starve to death or die of dehydration within the next 10 to

Media ignore fight for woman's life "The wire services have sporadically reported this ongoing story, but it is largely unknown outside of Florida because the major media outlets have virtually ignored it. Apparently there are some aspects that Big Media considers to be too inflammatory.¼"
UPDATE: Real News 24/7:
Interestingly, Terri's fight for life suddenly became a story for the national
news media after—and only after—her feeding/hydration tubes were
removed today. These articles prove a bias by Big Media sources, since they
use terms such as "comatose" and "vegetative," when as the Schindlers'
videos
clearly show, while severely disabled, Terri is far from incommunicative.
Further bias is shown in the articles by the suggestion that all doctors agree
about her position, whereas the only doctors allowed to see her have been
those passing the husband's approval (that is, those who support "mercy
killing"). These journalists are well-practiced in the writing of
advocacy reporting, penning articles that advance a particular agenda
(essentially, writing an editorial, but cloaking it in the style of a news
story). But Terri's struggles, however, weren't given the time of day, hardly
even in straight, unbiased articles. Her case fell on the wrong side of the
fence for the mavens of political correctness (preserving life isn't popular
with those who peddle the wares of the Culture of Death), hence the absence of
feature stories in the major news sources.

He has consistently refused to allow her to be examined by any doctors other than those he chooses. The information in our "Latest News and Analysis" feature is meant to bring to your attention information or views generally not easily found on the Big TV networks and other controlled media sources.
